Hi, I've been really worried about the chances of getting rescinded from UC schools. This year (senior year) I am taking H.S Calc, AP Enviro, AP Gov/Econ, AP Lit, H Physics, and Ceramics but I've been struggling a lot in calc. I am scared of getting a D first semester and strongly considering dropping the class second semester. Could this effect my admission decisions?

I have no experience with this, but common sense dictates that you should contact the universities you’ve applied to with your concerns. Surely they’ll be more willing to work with you if you tell them you’re struggling in a certain class (but are of course doing your very best to bring your grade up, etc. etc. etc.) before they see your report?

Thanks for the suggestion! I guess I’ll see how finals go and decide what to do then.

You’re probably pretty safe, I’d call or email just to check in and explain yourself, but seniors are notorious for often having a very difficult time in Calc and they give students a break
