Possible score for _______ q's omitted on PSAT

I skipped about 8 questions on the CR.

Skipped 7 on Math.

Skipped 3 on W.

Anyone think know the highest possible score for each section?

Thanks.

ouch i got 4 wrong on CR once which was a 71 so maybe 62
math is harsh maybe low 60s
writing is nice so even 78, i got 2 wrong once and got 80

Math: 67
Critical Reading: 68
Writing: 72
Total: 207

That’s assuming you got everything else right.

That is not possible. 2 wrong should give you a 73 or somewhere close to that.

Really? Is this accurate?

So can I assume that if I got 11 wrong on CR (including omitted), 11 wrong on Math, and 5 wrong on Writing, I could still get a 180? Or would it be much less?

For you, awalczak:

Critical Reading: 62-65 (without knowing how many you either omitted or got wrong, hard to tell)
Writing: 65
Math: 57
Total: 184 - 187 best

The writing curve is ridiculous.
But writing was really hard this year so the curve might be less harsh…

There was a question on the writing. I selected the very first option. It was asking something about spiders.

the question: deadliest among all the spiders in N Amer. is the black widow… rattlesnake…

I said that ‘deadliest among’ was wrong because I was thinking of the superlative form of deadly. What did you guys say?

It was “rattlesnake,” because you’re not saying the rattlesnake itself is deadly compared to the black widow itself. You want it to say “than that of the rattlesnake,” because you are comparing the venom of the black widow to the venom of the rattlesnake :)

Somebody PLEASE tell me what I should score based on my predictions:

CR: -8
M: -4
W: -2

^ According to last year’s scale:

CR: 65
M: 70
W: 73

Is an omission conisdered one wrong?

So if I omitted 1 in the writing section and got like 3 wrong, is it -4?
