Possible to get a 12/12 essay with no conclusion and unfinished third example? (my first two examples were very detailed and the total length of the paper was approximately 1.7~1.8 pages). I think the writing itself was good enough to get 12.

I doubt you’ll get a 12 if the essay was unfinished (in an evident way), because you’d lose points when it comes to organization and coherence. The lack of a conclusion paragraph probably won’t affect your grade, however.

Also, just to point it out, you said your examples were very detailed. This says nothing about your reasoning and critical thinking, which are most important.

Inquiring the studious community of College Confidential in order to boost your confidence in the SAT score will change absolutely nothing. You must face the realities of the world as actual: your essay has an unfinished example as well as a nonexistant conclusion. Employ the common sense that is ubiquitous among us human beings, and ask yourself, would this inchoate piece of work really deserve a 12?

There is no need to be an ass hole. You don’t need to point out every little bit of idiocy u see. Just let the guy have it…

If you finished your last paragraph with an abrupt ending, possibly a 10 or 11. Otherwise, a 12.

I would like to thank crazybandit for his continuing contributions to the forums, and want to say f u to some others. This was a legitimate question, considering ive heard cases of unfinished essays being graded very highly.
