So I currently reside in Atlanta, and I don't think it would be worth the money for me to attend CalSO (also, paying for orientation? is it just me, or is that a totally ridiculous concept?). What I'm kinda scared of is the possibility of registering for classes super late. Is there anyway to get the AC without attending CalSO? Also, I'm a linguistics major, so would anyone be able to offer some information in terms of how quickly the classes fill up for ling? Thanks!

Nope, you’ll just have to wait until all the CalSo sessions are over (at around mid-July). You’ll get your AC then. Don’t fret about it! I didn’t go to CalSo either (way too expensive just for early phase 1 priority). You can easily get help here at CC, so don’t bother.
