<p>So I applied to McGill in September and since then I decided that I want to be a surgeon. Unfortunately, I applied for the chemical engineering major. Is it possible that after my first year (which i believe is all general requirement courses anyway) that i can switch into this program? Thanks for the help.</p>
<p>If by “premed” you mean taking the stream of prerequisite courses needed for medical school admission, then you can do that with virtually any major. If you mean McGill’s 5 year MD post-CEGEP program though, that is only open to graduates of Quebec CEGEP’s.</p>
