Possible to get in Ross Pre-Admit with B in calc?

I applied for pre-admit to ross EA. Unfortunately, for the 1st trimester, I'm getting a B in AP Calc AB and an A- in AP Stats. However, I am almost certain that next trimester I will likely get a B- and B+ respectively. I am good at math, it's just that I got the hardest calc teacher in the entire school, and as for stats, it is just unpredictable how it will play out, so let's just go with worst case scenario (a B+). Is there any chance I can still get into Ross PA? What if I kept the A- in stats and B in calc alive?

I ask because the website says:

We want to see how well you perform academically through the end of your senior year in high school, particularly in quantitative courses such as math.

So has anyone gotten a B in senior year math and still gotten in? If it helps, I have great math test scores.

If you get in with your previous academic record before Senior year, you’d have to do really bad Senior year to get rescinded.

no i mean to get accepted pre-admit, not once i got accepted. (They can see my senior grades).

I doubt a single B will swing a decision one way or another. If you’re going to be admitted, you’re gonna be admitted with or without that B, same for denied

Depends on the rigor of your high school. If you come from a highly rated magnet/private school known for being difficult, they’ll probably give you some leeway. Otherwise, a B in high school calc probably roughly translates to a C or lower for the same calc level course at Michigan. if you were to take it there.

Let’s just say that getting into Ross pre-admit is very competitive. Not everyone has perfect grades so I wouldn’t obsess over a couple grades. But I would set your expectations properly. It is tough to get in pre-admit. You can still get in after your freshman year but you will have to do very well – you need something like a 3.8 to get into Ross after your freshman year.

^ You don’t need a 3.8 to get into Ross after freshman year. The average is about a 3.6. A student that has a 3.5+ GPA and is well involved has good odds at Ross.

Is this calc AB or BC? I think you’d be given a bit more leeway for BC but not AB. Regardless, try your best to improve your grades, but it likely won’t make a difference.

“I am good at math”

Your grades tell a different story.

I seriously doubt that this would make a huge difference in getting in as a pre-admit. I feel like you shouldn’t worry about the AP stats AT ALL. But the calc ab- if it’s your only B so far, this may not really affect you too much, to be totally honest. Not everyone applying/people who get in have perfect grades.
