I slacked off my first 2 years of high school really bad. I would love to go to USC. is there any chance I could get in? my sat is a 1690
I’ve stopped going on this part of forum, but man, you gotta stop asking strangers on the internet if they think you have a shot, because at the end of the day, YOU are the applicant. And despite the fact that people on CC might insist otherwise, your application is more than a set of numbers. Your activities, volunteer work, teacher recs, personal background, passion, and writing ability are all HUGE factors, not just your GPA. I, for example, am a statistical anamoly. Maybe you will get into SC, and maybe you won’t, but don’t ever let a statistic prevent you from trying, because then you definitely won’t. If I exist, you can aim for your goals. That was probably not what you were expecting. Oops.

According to section C11, it looks like 93% of admitted students have at least a 3.25. Look at the stats and decide.
Calculate your core class HS GPA fresh-soph year vs. junior year. Is there a significant difference? If so, that is worth pointing out on your application. Also you will need to explain what has changed in your life/mindset to disprove the fresh-soph mediocre grades are not the real academic you.
