Possible to get into Ivy League with 3.5+?

Just wanted to know if it’s even possible to get into an Ivy League school or any top notch school with s 3.5 or higher? I thought this might help people. Any miracle stories of getting in with a low gpa ? And if so how?

It’s possible–I got into Kenyon with below a 3.5. If you’re hookless/don’t have any other draw-ins, it’s very unlikely. You can try, but just have other options lined up and know your chances.

Someone asks this every other day. Are you an athlete? It’s possible. Are you the child of a mega-millions donor? Possible. Are you an URM? It’s possible, but not likely. You still need a compelling story and other great things to counterbalance the low grades. Are you an ordinary white or Asian kid from a good school district? I won’t say it’s 100% impossible, but with a 3.5 GPA, it’s 99.999999999999999(add a few more 9’s)% unlikely. Let’s just say you should definitely put in applications to other colleges to be on the safe side.

Look at the Common Data Set for each school for statistics about admitted students.

It’s highly unlikely, but every year there is someone in the results threads of the Ivies who got in with a less than stellar GPA. You’ll never know if you don’t try, so if you want to I say go for it but make sure you apply to safeties and matches as well.
