Possible to get into UCLA with 3 C's?

Okay so basically I’m a freshman at community college and if I get a 3.5 GPA by the end of the fall quarter when i apply this upcoming fall, but i have 3 C’s do i still have a chance?

Major: Anthropology
TAP: Yes
ExtraCurriculars: Student government, a few clubs, work 20 hours a week
Major GPA: 4.0

The 3 C’s I have gotten have been in NON-Major classes (Gen ed class, Precalculus, Calculus). I’ve finished ALL my PreReqs for my major already and I’ve got all A’s. SO basically my transcript is all A’s and A-'s and 3 C’s.

Do I still have a good shot at UCLA? Just curious if I should even think about going to UCLA or just plan on going somewhere else.

Yes, I stated I was in the TAP Program.

So are you saying I shouldn’t worry too much about my C’s as long as my GPA is around a 3.5?

From what I know, for the most part they don’t care too much about what your individual grades are (maybe unless you keep getting bad grades in major pre reqs). UC GPA is pretty much by far the most important factor, so getting 3 Cs shouldn’t be much of a problem. Plus being in TAP should really help you.

My sister got into UCLA with a couple C’s and just as many B’s as she had A’s

alright well all the courses i’m taking and that i’ve gotten C’s in are UC transferrable.

like i said there were only 3 PreReqs for my major and I got A’s in all of those @music1990

@MikeSauce damn what was his major and her GPA? she got in as a transfer student?

It was like a 3.54, she did chicano studies, which is really good since they are opening up chicano studies factories all over the place

If the classes aren’t UC transferable, then it doesn’t matter either way.

They won’t be calculated into your GPA, but you HAVE to put them on your application.

okay yeah i was really down on myself because I just received a C in calculus last quarter and I already have 3 C’s and I still have 1 more quarter left in my first year.

Is there anything else that will higher my chances of getting into UCLA as a transfer?
