Possible to increase my SAT score from 1550 to 2200?

Hi! I'm new(:

Anyways, WHEW! 1550 to 2200! Yes I can do math, it's 650 points!
I know that's crazy :/ But I am very determined.

I took my first SAT mock test yesterday, and got the results. I am so
sad :/ I am a 4.0 unweighted GPA, and got a horrid score on my SAT :(
I am a new sophomore in high school.

I want to know if it's possible to increase it 650+ points by October of next year with weekly courses! I am so nervous, because I failed so epic-ly :(

And it doesn't help that all my friends got 1900s on their first try, (AS A FRESHMAN!)
One even got a 2250 on her 4th try!

Is this possible? What tips do you have?

Love,

Ren (nervous sophomore)

Honestly, I wouldn’t worry too much about your situation. You’re young, mock tests are often more challenging, and you have a significant amount of time to prepare.

I would recommend doing 1-2 practice sections (Usually 20-25 minutes each) a day if you can find the time. This has helped me drastically, as I have gone from a 1700 mock SAT score in junior year to around a 2100. It is very possible :)

I suggest you look at this

I also recommend you purchase the College Board’s infamous blue book, it has helped me a lot with all of the practice tests.

Best of luck, and stay steady in your study :)

^ Why did you use the word “infamous” if it has helped you a lot? Wouldn’t that give it a good reputation? Hm probably a typo I guess.

It’s possible as long as you work hard for it and figure out why you keep missing the ones you do. I mean if you dont figure out why it was incorrect theres really no way you’ll just magically know the next time unless you go over it. My friend went from a 1600 to 2200. He worked his butt off though. Try taking the ACTs too. Some people find them easier. But it all depends.

look for patterns in what u get wrong so u can correct the problems. do you get tired at the end of the section? maybe u need to work on endurance. do u get a lot of problems wrong in a row? it might be psychological. do u run out of time? u probably need to skip the reading passages and go right to the questions.
