Possible to reach 23xx?

Hi,
I'm currently a freshman. I just took a practice SAT from BB (over 3 days, timed).

My score was between 2000 (0 on essay) and 2180 (12 essay)
Breakdown: 680 CR, 750 Math, 69 Writing MC, can't grade my essay.

I haven't memorized any vocabulary except for 50 words from DH volume 1 and some from the Princeton Review vocab app on my iPod. Also, the few that I missed on math resulted from careless mistakes (not answering what the question was actually asking for). If I memorize vocab, practice making less mistakes (math), and study grammar from Silverturtle's guide over the summer, will I be able to reach 23/23* on next year's PSAT/SAT? Are there any other things that I could do to improve my score?

I know I'm only a freshman but I want to study little by little so that I won't have to cram it all in junior year.

Thanks in advance!

I didn’t know that the SAT had 69 Writing MC questions. Yeah Direct Hits works, If you study till your a junior at least 2 hours a day you’ll be able to score a 2300 in no time. Just remember to review your practice test thoroughly and know why your answer is correct/incorrect. The way you practice can help you get into a good habit, which can help you successfully achieve your perfect score. Also if you need help on grammar just read some guides, a book I prefer is Mc Graw Hill’s writing book because it is concise and has all the different grammar questions on the SAT. Its easy to say that you will fix your mistakes but it actually takes some practice to get use to fixing mistakes, but in short the more you do you will have a greater chance of getting a 2300.

Thanks! And for the 69 on Grammar MC, it was the scaled sub-score not the raw score
