Possible to Recieve both Cal Grant AND State University Grant?

Cal State LA junior here. For my freshman year I received the SUG award, but not the Cal Grant B as my high school GPA was too low. Sophomore year I did get the Cal grant B but not the SUG. Current GPA is 3.6. I already received the SUG for this year, but it is short about $200 dollars for the full tuition price. The Cal Grant for this year is still being processed. I want to know if it is possible to get both of these awards in the same year. On the CSAC website it says that Cal Grant renewals will be processed in July.

Yes, it is possible but it does depend on the CalGrant formula for you and your school.
Remember that the Cal States are public universities funded by the State.

The universities, throughout the country, lost a lot of funding in the Pandemic (loss of revenue from dorm and meal fees, student store items, laundry services, franchisee fees, etc.).
The SUG may or may not rely on those funding entities, so they may have been short. Wait for your CalGrant to come through, and if it is not enough, then contact your FA officer.
