<p>Anyone think it is reasonable to be on the sailing team while pursuing a music ed major? I know U Miami has a great sailing team -- so is there still time for academics and practicing instrument while a member of the team?</p>
<p>My son is a sophmore double majoring in Music and Biology at the U and is also active in a club sport. While I don’t know how much time sailing would take up I have to think based on my son’s experience it is possible. It is not easy, but doable. I think my son gives up some of the other social, party scene but that is a trade off he is happy with. He has had to back off the club sport periodically and I think the key is recognizing when that needs to be done but so far so good, I’d say go for it.</p>
