Currently, im taking 3 ap classes right now (ap lang, apush, psych) and i do have a certain amount of time to study for the Calc AP exam
what worries me about the most is the frq for calc; i heard many failed the frq for it… and thus, they didnt pass the calc exam…
is it too late so start studying the calc topics? im currently almost done w/ limits…
Doable, but not easy.
The FRQs for AP Calculus are not hard if you learned the material well. You should to be able to communicate your solution clearly and in order. Other than that, FRQs shouldn’t be too hard in terms of difficulty.
You could probably pass the exam (maybe with a 5), but you honestly probably wouldn’t “know” calc AB. Math especially takes a while to learn. I would strongly recommend taking the time to learn this… cram for the exam if you have to, but don’t let that replace actual learning (you know the difference between memorization/testing and learning)
I agree, 100%, with the previous post.
My question is this: do you anticipate ever needing that information? Are you planning a major that has anything to do with math?
If so, then you need to learn the material-- learn it thoroughly. Not just get a score on a test, but know your math.
If, on the other hand, you’re hoping to get your math requirement out of the way once and for all, then give it a shot.
