Possible to switch from RD to ED2 after app submission?

Has anyone had experience with this? I am totally in love with Claremont McKenna, but could not apply ED1 because of Georgetown's EA policy. I had to submit my app to CMC before Dec. 1 so I could qualify for merit scholarships, but I submitted under RD. If I don't get into my top EA schools (UChicago and/or Georgetown), I would like to be considered for ED2 to CMC.

Is it possible to switch admissions decisions? Should I just call them and ask?

Thanks in advance!

Definitely call and ask! I think you can!

Say if I applied ED2 to a school and decided to switch to regular decision about 13 days before the decision is released? Would this be possible?

Thanks in advance

@justwannagetinn I know going from ED2 to RD is much easier than the opposite. It is definitely possible.

Update: I got into Georgetown! As per their policy, I can’t apply anywhere binding decision, so I’m just keeping my CMC app in the RD pool and waiting for April to come.

Thanks all!

I’m going to send an email requesting to switch my application. Wish me luck :l
