<p>Transfer from Springfield or UIC to UIUC is really no different than transfering from any other college to UIUC. You need to meet transfer minimums (which vary among colleges and majors) both in GPA and required course work and minimums get you considered but higher is often needed to actually get admitted. The transfer admission rate at UIUC is usually below 50%. The advantage if any is simply that you will not face issues as to whether the courses you take at Springfield will transfer to UIUC.</p>
