Okay so i’m wanting to send my high school transcripts to the schools i’m applying to by postage mail because my school doesn’t want to send any transcripts electronically due to some school district policy. Anyways, I had them ready to be sent by my father while I was at school. While I had asked him to ask for a tracking number for each one. for some reason, he decided to buy certified mail for each transcript being sent which means that the person receiving the transcript must provide a signature to verify that they received it.
Now i’m telling you this because I have no idea if the institutions that receive my transcript will reject it because they refuse to sign it or something? Will they frown on this in any way or am I screwed?
Edit: I forgot to mention the official transcript contains the seal and stamp from the school, signature from a school official and the return address of my high school is officially printed from the high school themselves.
I can’t imagine someone refusing to sign a certified letter and to be honest, if I sent something for my son with snail mail I would do the same as your dad. It is one of the only ways to make sure your info made it. Don’t worry. This is not a problem.
Why would they possibly deny your admission b/c it has to be signed for? Signing for deliveries is a completely normal thing that admin people do all the time. I can only think that now that your applications are in you are short of things to worry about.
Having said that, I am very curious as to a school system that refuses to send transcripts to colleges electronically. I would speculate as to the state, but I would get beaten up by other posters for stereotyping
