Hey guys, possible tranfer student here, just waiting to hear back! :) If I get in, I'll def. go !

Just wanted to ask a few questions about grades at USC :)

I am going to be a biology/neuroscience major there, if I get in, and I am hoping to go to med. school afterwards.
Most med. schools pay a lot of attention to your GPA and so I want to get a really good one.

First off, how hard is it to get an A in any given class ? I know this varies, but generally?
How many hours of studying do you need in for example, a neuroscience class? I am hoping to do a lot of EC's while at USC and so I dont want to spend ALL my time getting a 4.0.. Of course I'm not expecting a 4.0, but am at least hoping to get a 3.8+...

Second, do they grade on a curve or just your scores ? Like, only top 5% get an A, next 10% get a B etc... or is it just, you scored an A on the test, you get an A in the class?
I realize that in either case, I'd have to be one of the top students in the class, but still, I know a lot of smart people go to USC and so I dont want to do really well and then still get a B because some others got like 100% on every test..

How are teachers? Are they there to help you and do they want to give you good grades ? Or are they just there to teach and then dont care about you? I know, this too is different for each teacher, but in general? Anyone that can speak from experience? :)

I know these questions are kind of vague-ish and hard to answer, but I am motivated and I want to do good(while also having a life, thats why im going to USC :P ). But if you could at least try, then id appreciate it a lot!

THANKS! :) and also check out my fraternities thread! :)
