Possible Transfer

Hello everyone, I'm currently a freshman (2nd semester) at Syracuse University and am interested in transferring to UCF (and possibly USF). Personally I like SU a lot, but I think I would be a lot happier in Florida where there's more to do. I have family and residences in Florida (so it would be cheaper down the line if I got full residency) it would be really nice to be able to visit my family on weekends.

I should of have applied to UCF as a senior in High School, but since I'm technically OOS I knew it would be much more difficult to get in. I plan to apply for the Summer 2010 semester, I imagine that it's much less competitive than applying for the Fall, and I would like to have some credits under my belt so my application looks better, so applying for the Spring semester seems to be not a great option for me.

My stats are:
- 3.2 U/W High School GPA, pretty competitive High School, lots of students in Ivy league colleges, although I do admit to messing up freshman/sophomore year, I do have an upward trend.
- 1210/1800 SAT - 610 mat, 590 wrt, 600 crit
My college GPA can't really be calculated this early, I only have 7 credits completed (from a summer semester).

I know it may be a reach for UCF or even USF but do those that were accepted as transfers in the past have any comments or advice?I plan to major in accounting, but I would be interested in applying as whatever major is easiest to get in, and then worry about an internal transfer later on.

Thanks!
