Is it possible to predict your Junior Year PSAT score?

Kind of, but things happen. If you’ve been getting 2400’s left and right, you’re probably not going to get a 150 on the PSAT. But if you’re thinking about predicting whether you’re going to get a 215 or 220, it’s hard to tell.

My score is around 190s? Predict for me? I’m a sophomore :P

Probably around 210 if you studied. Apparently most sophomores get low scores and junior year they get really high scores

That’s really low D:

How can I improve to a predicted score of 230+

There is no need to “predict”. With the test coming up in 6 weeks such predictions are not helpful, since they can’t take “you” into account, and at best they are averages. Take a practice test or two under the PSAT conditions. Score the test and you’ll have the likely score. If the scores are not what you want then you can act on the knowledge.

Is there something special about 230+? The threshold for merit semi-finalists varies by state, and for most states it is under 220. Getting a score above the merit threshold doesn’t have any consequence since olleges don’t require your PSAT score.

Anything is possible.

it’s called the New York state cutoff XD
And I know I’ll get really nervous and drop 10 points. So my goal is 230 at practice tests at home and 220 at the testing centers
