Possible?

So I was wondering if this was possible. I go to a very small private school (10 people in my class.. i know pathetic right?) Well, I know also that I'm going to exhaust all of my schools courses, so my mom suggested that since I am going to have two study halls after lunch till end of school, that I should see if I can take courses at a public high school? Would it be possible if I can do that even though I don't go to the public high school? but i mean..we DO pay like 1500 taxes to the school, so I guess they should have a reason to let us. haha.
My mom and I were thinking of meeting up with the principal of the local high school.
Do you guys think it would be possible? I was considering taking some AP courses if possible.

10 People...1432 Students in my class...

why not just... go to that public school?

Yeah seriously, just go to the public school. It's cheaper, you'll shake off your private school image just in time for college, and it's a good experience. And it looks like an academically superior school too.

SDM - Now, THAT's public school. :]

You can probably take courses in the afternoon at a public school. I'm sure this is possible. Or, you can take classes at a community college if there are any nearby. Or, you can self-study APs if that is all you want. Or, you can just go to public school. Your options go on and on. But, yes, you can probably do that. I'm assuming the public school will not have a problem with this.

Thanks for the responses everyone! Well, the problem is that I'm already a junior and it would be too late to transfer. I would have to get to know the system, the teachers, all the different clubs and competitions; it will be a completely different environment.
I was considering taking AP courses that I was going to self study for. For example AP Chem and AP Calc BC.
Thank you again everyone! I guess I'll just have to schedule an appointment and talk to them. Hopefully everything will work out.
Also, as stupid as this sounds, my school will not let me do dual enrollment with Lanier Tech (local community college) because its a HORRIBLE school, so I don't even know if going to community college is such a great idea unless I go to Gainsville State (which is 1hr away, but it is much cleaner and more reputable as a good college)
Would it really hurt me though that I have a small class? I wish I did go to public school, but now is too late to transfer. I was pretty upset when I found that out. lol =[
