So I've already been accepted and opted to enroll at my choice college. During my application process last fall I also applied to NYU and several other colleges as well. I attempted to contact the other colleges to notify them that I would not be attending; however, I've been getting student stuff (including a tuition bill) from NYU still. What should I do...call them? Ignore it? I don't want to cause any issues by being "dual-enrolled".

EDIT: Just noticed the thread subject is incomplete. If a moderator could change it to "admissions acceptance issue" that would be great.

Did you get confirmation from a school official that you withdrew your admissions acceptance? If so, ignoring any incoming mail should be fine (colleges are slow with this stuff).

Also, is the bill you received for the actual school tuition, or is it just a small fine for withdrawing your acceptance? Some schools may bill students who withdrawal if they sign up for housing, but then later choose not to attend. If it’s the actual tuition, you could call to see if there are any additional steps you need to take.

It appears to be an actual tuition bill. And no, I didn’t sign up for housing and anything like that. I imagine that since I haven’t responded there’s nothing binding, financially or otherwise. So in that case would it be safe to ignore everything?
