Possibly a weird question, lol.

Alright, I'm not sure about where I'm going, so I'm applying to 8 schools, one of which is in my hometown. Let's say I get accepted to those 8 schools as well.

If I go to this college in my hometown (and it's not a community college, either) for my first 2 years of college, and want to transfer (which is the plan if I go to the college in my hometown) to one of the other schools that I applied to and got accepted to...would it look good or bad that I was accepted 2 years ago? Would it help?

I'm just thinking of going to this school near home for my first 2 years of college, which I believe to be pretty much universal almost anywhere, and then transferring to one of my other schools of choice.

It will not hurt that you were accepted and chose not to go two years earlier. It might help. It is certainly a good sign that you were accepted, as it shows that you are the caliber of student they want. They will notice that and it will be a plus in your new application.
