Hey, I'm a HS sophomore potentially interested in Tech, and wondering about admissions. When you apply, do you apply to Georgia Tech in general, or a specific college of GT, like the college of engineering or the college of science?
I ask because if I do end up going to GT, it would probably be for chemistry (or a field of chemistry), not engineering. Which leads me to the next question (assuming that you apply to specific colleges in the university), are there differences between the selectivity of the different colleges? Like is the apparently extremely prestigious GT engineering college harder to get into than the business school or what have you?

You apply for the Institute as a whole, not for a particular major. Admission criteria and selectivity is the same for all majors, so an International Affairs applicant has no advantage over a Biomedical Engineering applicant.
