I know that several of you are in the same position, or in one that's slightly similar... you dropped a course for a W, and submitted an update to the UARS at UCLA. I submitted mine last Thursday, and it's now Friday and I still haven't heard anything. The only thing that's changed is the info on my admissions page, which instead of a congratulations letter, is the following:

"We received your recent communication regarding changes to your academic information and are currently reviewing your record. Upon completion, we will contact you to inform you of any status changes.

If your name and contact information listed above is incorrect, please notify us.

Is this an ominous foreboding? What do you guys think? I really want to go to UCLA! Thanks, guys

no, that seems pretty standard. Dont worry about it.

They will send you a message saying either “there is no change in your admission status…etc” or “you have not met the conditions you were accepted on and you lost your admission…etc”

that message is just confirming that they received your update

Landspeed- Was this a major or IGETC required course? Is is part of your 60 units? If it is simply a general education course or additional units your W should not be a problem.

^^ thanks, eshug, and to Kelli: no, this wasn’t a lower division prerequisite for my major, and it wasn’t needed for IGETC or for 60 units. It was, however, a chemistry course, and I am a chemistry major. I contacted the chem division @ UCLA, and they said that they don’t have any equivalent course there, and that it isn’t required after transfer, either.

“We have received your recent inquiry concerning your admission and based on your self-reported information, your eligibility will not be affected by these changes. However, your admission will not be finalized until official records have been received.”

I am going to UCLA —
Thank you for sending us the update to your senior year schedule. After reviewing your update based on the self-reported information you provided (you received 4 C’s your second semester of senior year), we have decided that your admission decision will not be affected.
@k4201505 I think they’re a freshman admit. They probably searched all “UC rescinded” threads and wanted to share their acceptance not getting rescinded, not knowing that this is the UC transfers thread.
