Hi everybody! Hope all of your WP work is going well!

As I have been working on my papers, I have a few come up with a few questions. If anybody could please provide insight, I would most appreciate it.

Here are my questions:

Will USMA mail us the dental forms for evaluations? If so, when do they generally come?

Does USMA let you know on the website whether they have gotten your police record, consent card, authorization, etc.? I have sent all these in and I am not sure if WP has gotten them yet.

West Point will mail us dental information and some special envelopes to mail the x-rays back in, but I don't know when to expect them. I don't know if the other forms will be verified online.

P.S. How many police agencies did you file a background check with?

Sounds good regarding dental. I guess I'll be doing some more waiting.

I just went to my local police department. They were like, "We can just type your name into the computer and find your record.: I didn't have criminal or police record, so they just signed the form and mailed it in 5 mins. Lucky for me, cause I heard others were having trouble.

So you just went to one department? I was thinking I should get a form to my county sheriffs office and the city police although I don't live in the police jurisdiction. My mom thought I should also file a report with a different county because I used to work there, but I don't have any incidents there either so I don't see the need. I really think that they suggest giving a form to "all jurisdictions into which you fall" or whatever becasue if you had a ticket in a different county they will find out.

Yes, I just went to one department for the record check. I thought I just had to go to my city's department. I figured they would send more than one form if one had to go to a bunch of different jurisdictions for checks. I don't have a lot of other connections to outside jurisdictions (work), so I'm hoping the one check will suffice.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I got my dental packet about a week and a half after I got my gold book. Its just like a page front and back that you dentist has to fill out and send in with some other stuff.

I believe that record checks vary depending on where you live. Your local police department should be able to help you with the details.
In NC my son had to do a police record check (for past or outstanding arrest warrants), and a county courthouse record check (for any judgments).

Thanks for the responses. I think I'll just go to the sheriffs. SLS, I was thinking the same thing about them sending us more forms in the first place if they really wanted that many agencies reported.
