Post-AP English Language Test

For rhetorical, I don't think you have to cite quotes.

It was good. Expecting a four.

I thought it was easier than I expected. Of course, I didn't prepare at all, so I was expecting it to be killer. A couple of the mc I was iffy on, but I didn't leave any blank and feel good about most of them. The synthesis essay was fine. My rhetorical essay was absolute crap, but at least I wrote something, and when I reread it, it wasn't as horrible as it seemed the while writing it. Argumentative was ok. I'm hoping for a 4, considering I didn't study. A 5 would be wonderful, but I'm not expecting it.

expecting a 4 or more

Last essay was a crazy one, I say. I started rhyming words, and sizing them, and writing just like this. It was a pretty huge milestone in writing of my own.
Cannot believe it happened during test :</p>

I dont get it.

i got owned by the MC, but i owned all 3 essays =]

/fasdfasdsadfasf/ 5

I just want at least a 3. The multiple choice was better than i expected (but i don't know if that's a good or bad sign) and the first two essays were great. The last essay was hard even though I still got three pages written, I completely made up my examples though.

The first two essays were easy for me (wrote 3 pages for synthesis, 2 for rhetorical), but I only had 20 minutes left for my argumentative and barely got over a page. Also, I wasn't able to pull in any literary support for that one... so that will hurt. Will mentioning a psychological theory be helpful???

wow tapedduck, i was in the exact same situation as you, and all of my essays were the same length as yours. I also couldn't think of any literary support for the final one.

i used 2 historical and 1 lit for the last one. I thought that overall the test was pretty easy.

Ugh I wanted to use psychology for the last one.
I just couldn't like think of the theory or put it in context, so I bs'd it.
Talked about Deception Point. lol

The MC was easier then expected, but I messed up on the first passage.
The Synthesis was easy.

MC, all but the first passage were easy. But i felt like "omg this is really easy, all the answers that i think it should be, are one of the choices!" so i'm really scared, lol. beacsue whenever that DOES happen, i usually get them all wrong anyways.
syntehsis and rhetorical analysis was really easy.
argumentative i had like 20 mins to write and i had no clue *** to say, so i b/sed it :D i talkeda bout bush though...ahhh it was a nightmare, that essay!

If my in-class grades are any reflection of my performance on the test, then I probably got a five. Knowing my English teacher, though, probably not - she can be overly lenient, especially on the essay grading.

I know I screwed up on the middle essay. I wrote like half a page before realizing I was on the wrong track and then restarted, which cost me most of my time and I ended up with only slightly less than two pages. The first and last were alright, though.

I will say one thing about the last essay - I hope my graders aren't homophobic. Don't ask me how I reached that tangent.

for the last essay i used one literary, 1 expanded historical, and one modern/personal. i had plenty of time for all of them, but i planned it wrong because i got confused with the timing so i cut my second essay shorter than necessary, but it still turned out well.

I left 11 blank on the MC, how is this going to affect my score. Is it possible to get a 5 if I did good on the ones I answered? How does the MC scoring work? Also, is an allusion to Plato and Aristotle too far-fetched?

My English teacher encouraged my class not to use literary examples at all, if we accidently used a fictional story, we'd fall into a logical fallacy, she says you don't have to simply stay by the observation/literary/experience thing, so not including something literary won't hurt you at all.

i thought the mc was fairly easy, but it did have some traps. i skipped like 3, but i almost got caught in the time restraint. synthesis and rhetorical essay were quite easy to write, last essay wasnt too bad.

I felt fine on everything up until the last two essays. The style analysis I did sucked, compared to the amazing ones I've done in class, and my final one was stupid because I couldn't think of how to use examples to argue!
