I thought MC was definitely easy. A lot easier, in fact, than the PR practice tests. Essays were a joke for me--I self-studied AP World History while taking an IB Contemporary class, so the 1914-present time period really played into my strenghts.

Let's say 60/70 for MC--what's the average score on each essay needed to get a 5?

i skipped like 6 ques. on the MC...probably missed 5-7.
i think i did pretty well on #1 and #3 on the FR...although #2 was kind of difficult...probably a 5-6 on the second one and 8-9 on the first and third...do u think that will constitute as a 5?

i answered all the questions, guessed on like 7 of them;
the essays were ok. i did well on #1 essay but had to BS my way thru the rest. i doubt i got a 5, hopefully a 4.

The multiple choice was incredibly easy. I fell asleep in the middle of it (I haven't been sleeping well lately) and still finished it. I think I did pretty well on the DBQ. I BSed my way through the last two essays, but I had enough info that I think I'll get a decent score, a 4 probably.

so having read all your comments, i guess that everyone does incredibly well? does that mean that i would've needed to do well on everything to get a 5?

Just got back home from taking the exam. I self-studied AP World for about a week, staying home on Wednesday to finish reading's Stearn's textbook. Honestly, Princeton Review was enough for this year's exam; I didn't even finish reading the textbook, and I think I did really well.

The multiple choice was ridiculously easy, Finished that with about 25 minutes to spare, so I just played with my rolly-chair (I was taking the exam alone,) and checked over my work. Free response took the entire two hours. Spent an hour on the DBQ, but I'm fairly certain that I got a really high score on that. I think I did well on #2, the COT question, and relatively well on #3. #3 was the hardest one for me, partly because I hadn't devoted much time to studying those two civilizations, but I think I got a 7-8 on that essay. It was kind of short; I only had a half hour to do it. Nevertheless, I think I got a 5 on that exam.

This year was definitely one of the easier years. The free response questions from previous years were definitely harder. Maybe that's because this year is a released year for most of the AP exams? Whatever, need to go study Human Geography for tomorrow's exam and then for Environmental Science for Thursday's late exam...

I feel like poop on this one. I don't know why, because I never got less than a four on a multiple choice during the school year (our teacher uses AP curves and gives grades on a five point scale), and never less than a three on an essay, more often fives. I just feel really bad about this one.
