Except for one school, all my applications are submitted. Now I have to spend agonizing 3 months waiting for the decision. What do people do after submitting applications? I already feel like a major mental breakdown is just around the corner..

To be honest, I don't have high hopes for any of the schools I applied - so I thought maybe looking for job would be a good idea. When should I start such process?

Well it depends on your major. I'm in civil engineering and people have already interviewed for jobs in my field (who are graduating in the spring)

and I feel the same as you....i applied to about 6 reach schools and 2 matching schools...I really only want to go the reach schools which most likely won't happen. I've just given up about freaking out about the wait.

Teachers in my field are so laid back they probably won't start looking at them until Feb.

Are you structual engineering? I know some have started to look at applications already as I've gotten a few albeit informal decision via contacts with my research advisor.
