Post Application Anxiety

I think it's setting in. Anyone else?

Yea same here especially since i only applied to two colleges. I really regret doing that now.

Not for me. For the first time in I can't remember how long, I feel completely calm. I'd imagine I'll be even more so when I've finished my last few applications (due January 3 and 15). It's almost unsettling.

Yeah I'm a little nervous. I don't even want to look at my app because I KNOW I'm going to find errors in it.

Yeah, finding an error sucks. Take it from someone who found said error in her essay that was sent to her only safety and third favorite school. x__x

It's also made me look into applying elsewhere, though, lol. I just think my GC/teacher recs would kill me for applying to more schools.

camelisasenensis, me too! i'm actually surprisingly calm even though i sent in all jan. 1 apps a mere few hours before the deadline. whatever, i'm just glad a majority of them are finally out. my last apps are also jan. 3rd & 15th.. after that HOME FREEE! until april, which will probably be when i start having nervous breakdowns again

I applied to 12 schools, with only 1 real saftey, and all other are huge mega reaches. I suck.

haha too bad i did the same thing.. except with 15 schools.. with only 1 being a saftey

it was just such a releif for me not to have to think about the applications anymore. after I sent them was the first time I hadn't felt really stressed in a couple months.

Ahh, I only have one safety among my 12 schools as well.. and it's Boston College, which many people have claimed isn't a safety for anyone. >_<

Might be applying to a few schools whose apps aren't due yet, though.

I just looked at my essay for jhu and just noticed how blatantly STUPID it was. I wish I had more time to edit it... or write another essay.

I have to complete 4 more apps but I'm relieved that the majority's out of my reach.

I'm relieved that I actually managed to finish all those applications within a very short time frame. At the same time, I keep on looking back at all the applications that I submitted (even the ones that I submitted in early Dec.) , to nitpick at what I could've done better. So far, I haven't found any mistakes, but USC won't let you even view back the print preview of the application after one has submitted, so I can't really look back. sighs

BC isn't much of a reach for most top students. Its one my "safety" private school, even though it is a slight reach with my stats. They better give they give me a good financial aid package.

My friend just got into BC and she had like a 1920 SAT, top 10% rank, very few extracurricular things and no leadership..she's definitely a strong student but couldn't have gotten into some higher-ranked schools. It was probably a match for her.

And, to the OP, yeah. For sure.

I got deferred from BC with 2260 SAT, top 5%, some leadership in ec's...
