Post card

I heard that Penn sends each applicant a post card saying that they have received the app. I haven’t gotten one yet, is that normal?

Yes, that is completely normal. I am also applying ED and have not yet received the post card. Also, last year my friend who applied early did not receive his post card until November 27, so don't fret. I have even heard of people receiving the postcard in early December.

i haven't recieved it either, ppl on this board are saying we may infact recieve it this week (fingers crossed)

I sure hope so, wombat, because I'm getting really worried and anxious.

I would call to see if they have gotten it. They probably won't tell you if all the parts are there, but I think they would be willing to tell you if you called that it's been received.

i wouldnt suggest calling the admissions office right now...their probably flooded with work as it is. Having one student out of the 3000 applying early decision would only make their lives more of a living hell...just be patient and wait for the postcard.

i got my postcard about 10 days after i submitted part II.

i want more posts (I'm over 800! I wanna be a senior, though, lol)

and i want that little star next to this thread.

don't mind me ;)

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? haha i was just like you a year ago...

i couldn't last another year. i mean, i'll be back next year if i get in, but i have enough ED stamina to get me to late December, and then I'll burn out. its like everything else i do in life: cross the finish line and then die

no... i meant the posting thing

hahahahaha

me too.....confused ruffling of eyebrows

it's strange that some kids have recieved their post card already, yet others like me haven't...i thought they would want to send them all out at the same time as to avoid confusion. but as far as im concerned, i bet you the whole admissions process may be delayed because of Katrina and how hard it will be for those affected schools to send in their transcripts on time...i dunno--just my guess

perhaps... they do send them all out at once... and i know this might sound crazy, but some people live closer to philly, and some live farther, it takes alot more time to get to the farther places...

take a deep breath and take that all in

hahaha your sarcasm amuses me joe

hm... i received the post card 2 days back.. but it's nothing much.. just telling me that they've received my application.. but the responsibility that my transcipts etc reach them rests on me.
tt's wad im afraid.. wad if my transcripts dun reach them?! and collegeboard don't seem to have sent my scores.. can't believe it.. how i can make it send my scores?!!!!!!

Yea I got a basic post card too...it also said if you havent sent your SAT scores and transcripts yet get them in or something like that. I actually got mine like within a week after I sent everything...but then again, I live right across the river from Philly.

well i live in michigan and i got mine...you'll all get yours, it's just a matter of time.

It's really just an ugly blue little post card haha

i don't think that's the postcard we're all talking about, they're supposed to send another mid nov. that tells you what you are missing... with a little checklist

that weird..im doing ED and only submitted part I but I got the postcard already.
