For those of us who get confused about who you all are and don't remember prior posts, can you guys post your acceptance, deferral, or denial (I hate the word rejection) outcomes here? Please list your stats, too, like SAT/ACT, class rank, gpa. Thanks, and best of luck to you all no matter the outcome.

DOCMOM

I got into NOTRE DAME AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

SATS - 2190 (740 CR) (690 M)

ACCEPTED - ND Scholar

Best day of my life? Almost.

As far as stats go, if anyone wants to know you can just send me a private message because they dont really matter to me anymore - I'M GOING TO ND!!!!!!!!!!!

Nd 2010! :)

I got in!!

Rank: 1 of 224
GPA: 11.963/12.0
SAT: 740 (M) 800 (CR) 780 (W)

However, I already know now that I am not going, so someone on the waitlist can have my spot. :)

Erin-Michelle

u dont want to go already?

I got in as a ND scholar!!! But now I am curious... what does that mean exactly? I had never heard of an ND scholar before... does anyone know?

From nd website: "A Notre Dame Scholar is an honor given to the top 20% of our admitted pool. That means that those students had the highest class ranks, GPAs, and standardized test scores."

Accepted as a Notre Dame Scholar!
It looks like most people here on CC are getting in. Congratulations everyone, there's a good chance I'll see you all in South Bend next year!

Sorry to burst the bubble. I was rejected. I am crushed.

well...i guess that that's a bit premature...I'm a scholar, too. But so far, Purdue seems more attractive to me bc finances are a big issue for my family, but I have quite a bit of soul searching to do as I wait for one more decision to come through regarding Purdue.

Doc mom S received the news today that he has been accepted, and a ND Scholar, too. What great news.
I have been searching the CC site for a post you did in the Fall, about dropping your freshman son off and sitting at Mass. Could you PM or email me that or direct me to it on CC archives. I had some problem finding it.

I would love to send it to someone who would enjoy reading that. It sums up Why ND, better than anything I have read!!

Thank you for all your posts sharing ND info. They have been very helpful.

I Got In!!!

Accepted! However, I got in Early Decision at Cornell so I'm going there instead.

D was deferred and is so disappointed. But hope springs eternal! Any advice?

I got deferred as well. I have a 31 ACT, do you think that that is what held me back?

I don't think a 31 on the ACT ever really held anyone back...

Try to take the ACTs again. I had a 31 and thought it was pretty damn good then I saw ND's mid-50% range for ACTs. I think it's like a 30-33 or 34.

Agreed, I do think that a 31 could hold you back if there is something that is questionable in your application (questionable meaning not extremely strong). It may be worth trying to take it again. For sure, for all of those who were deferred, send in more info and make sure they have the most recent stuff because you are very close and it won't take much to get you in. Good luck!

What else besides mid-year grades can you send?
