Alright so back when I was EA I had myself chanced, I was one of the OOS kids who got deferred. So I was wondering what my chances are now, since the deferred kids seem to not get in very often? Oh and my mid-year senior grades are a little below what they used to be. I might even have a C :/

GPA: ~3.7 in all IB classes, Four years of spanish
SAT: 2070 (superscored)
Reading: 740
Math: 620
Writing: 710

Extra Curriculars:
Varsity Basketball (2 years, junior senior)
Varsity XC ( 2 years, frosh soph)
Varsity Track (all 4 years)
Between the summer of sophomore and junior year I was in a play that my school took to the world famous Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland
Was in a select choir that went to Japan freshman year and Washington DC in 8th grade
Worked twice as a camp counselor
Worked at Hollister for a year
Attended various journalism workshops
Leadership:
Attended Boys State
3 years in the school newspaper (copy editor junior year, editor-in-chief senior year)
Volunteering to help put on local communtity races
Served as a page twice for the State Legislature

chs, you have that remember that you are competing against all the other OOS people. If you were in state you would be in for sure. I feel that you're SAT score is good and you have done a lot of stuff outside of the classroom. There are a lot of people that get in after being deferred. Personally there were 4 people from my high school who got into UNC after being deferred. Your chances might be lower since you are OOS, but don't give up hope. If it doesn't work out you always have the option of transferring to UNC in the future.
