Post grad question!

hello all. I graduated BGSU this past Dec with an education degree, however over the past couple years I have truly doubted my passion for it.

Turns out I truly don't think I belong in education. Something I have always been passionate about is entertainment and movies/editing/etc. Back in HS my friends and I did it and I don't know why I didn't pursue then. I regret this now.

Anyways! Here are my questions. I truly want to get into the entertainment business somehow. What would work best? Going back to school for an undergrad? some graduate school? just try getting a job anyways ( entertainmentcareers.net or something like that?) or is the field just way too open?

I just would like some feedback. i have tried to keep in touch my BG's grad student job help but they aren't really paying off. I still don't have a decent job and just want to be doing something better with my time. However I feel I am stuck in a very uncreative area of Ohio.

Thanks for anything everyone!

Also, I don’t really know how the whole going back to school thing works. Like if it isnt for graduate school. I have been looking at film editing schools/etc. Or just something in entertainment.

Look for noncredit continuing education classes at local colleges. They should be cheaper than a credit program.

Some schools offer certificate programs. They may or may not be useful. Be wary.

Also, sometimes community organizations offer these kinds of courses. Look for one that specializes in film and video…making them, showing them, supporting people who make them. If there is a membership organization for film and video makers, check it out.

Is there a way to combine your education education with a specialty in media studies (teaching people to make films) or in online learning course development?
