Given the free choice of Harvard, Stanford, Yale, or Princeton which of these fine institutions would you attend? No trolls, please.

I'll go:

Stanford

Why? All Around Excellence

Given the free choice of Harvard, Stanford, Yale, or Princeton which of these fine institutions would you attend? No trolls, please.

I'll go:

Stanford

Why? All Around Excellence

Harvard.

Why? Location (located in a good city)

I haven't done much research outside of Stanford and Yale but my opinions are...

I really hate the Stanford campus buildings. I'd go mad if I had to go to school there for 4 years.

I heard Yale is a little bubble world. Even though their campus is GORGEOUS, outside it is... dudders, as I've heard.

I haven't even looked at the name Princeton, because Princeton HATES our school. Because 8 years back or something, they accepted a kid from our school, early decision. But he turned out to be a murderer; killed a kid from another school, 'n buried the body, because of something going wrong with his SAT-business (where he takes the SAT for other kids in exchange for money). Something like the kid was gonna rat him out or something. Ther Princeton-accepted murderer is still in jail to this day, without parole. Kind of a shame, really, cause he was really smart; I've seen his school work and they're WOW. But yea, they hate us.

Harvard sounds good, but only because I've done zero look-in on them.

;o That isn't to say I'd wouldn't give a tail and a half to get into any of these. Cause I would.

That Princeton incident is pretty creepy...very.

Wow, that is creepy..i feel sorry for the victim, they won't be able to live a life even though they died eight years ago)..wow..it's sad :(

Yeah, I concur. That's some messed up stuff.

Anyway, I'd chose Harvard for the location (I hate it down South and in hotter climates) and all-around academic excellence. Plus I could cross-enroll at MIT.

Actually, I prefer warmer climates, but I am willing to overlook temperature in favor of a school that is located in a big city. I just don't like the location of Stanford (Palo Alto), if I had the choice between Stanford and USC(one of the schools on top of my list), I would choose USC without any hesitation. I know that may make me seem crazy, but so be it.

Haha, that Princeton-kid incident... They made a movie out of it, actually. Limited viewing here on the West Coast, but was talked about a bit around our OC area. "Better Luck Tomorrow"? Yea. But hate how previous year kids have an effect on future kids. We had a Yale early acceptance last year who rejected Yale for UCSD-med school. No Yale acceptance here yet; not sure if it has a lot of effect, but I bet there might be some.

Stanford..all round excellence, great location, more laid back, great student body, weather, best applicants (based upon 2010 ea numbers), less pretentious, silicon valley, school of the 21st century, ah and did i mention weather?

Stanford... better weather, better social life, closer to home

I think I vote Princeton...but if I happen to be admitted in any of those 4 I don't think I'll have the benefit of doing any choosing. lol

Yale, because I applied there.

Actually, any one of them would rock my socks.

And yes, the Princeton incident is tragic for all involved, including the murderer.

Yale because I've always loved Yale, every time we would visit some of my family in Ct. my Dad would show me Yale, or the exit and stuff anyway. And Weslyan a little too. You know parents. Anyway it is so pretty and it has the residential colleges. If I had the means I would definetly want to go to Yale. Location, family, prettiness, overall coolness ;) haha.

"there is a fine line between genius and insanity" (Princeton thing)

hey..i doubt previous incidents having SERIOUS effect on future applicants...

one guy from a school in my city got accepted ED at brown but ditched it for Harvard.....but 2 years later another guy frm the same school got accepted RD at brown and he even attended it!!!
so i think it really depends on the applicant!

I'm not sure. I think Harvard buildings are really ugly, and Yale is in a stinky area. I guess I'd go to Princeton of the four choices.

who cares what happens in four years!!

see what happens AFTER the four years....which college degree or curriculum can get u the best job or ensure the best career!!

I'd most definitely pick Princeton.

Princeton! For location, undergraduate focus, and because I've already been accepted. :D

stanford for comp sci
