<p>Might want to define low stats...I mean below a 4.0 is a low stat for UCB but in reality its not that bad...</p>
<p>For now let's just say "Low" is below the UCB averages</p>
<p>I have a 3.64 uc gpa and a 29 on the ACT.. I have a 0% chance. If I get in, I'll change my name to Berkeley. :p</p>
<p>29 ACT isn't bad, it's only about 50-60 points below their average. As for the GPA, they accept some lower ones, so you can still do it!</p>
<p>I'm not sure about UC UW gpa, but I have like 3 A+, 1 A and 1 B (all honors/ap mixed). 1940 sat(the killer), 790/750 sat 2...so I don't know..big reach to reach.</p>
<p>lol. I have a 3.2 uw gpa and 1540 SAT score. although it's really low for Cal, it's also really low for UCSD and I got in XD. I hope another miracle happens and I get into Cal too. HAha!</p>

<p>Before you diss me, I applied to school of Natural Resources, and have spent the last 4 years exploring my passion for the environment. I wrote one of my essays about how the environment has changed my life. Also, I volunteered for various environmental organizations throughout my high school career (well over 200 hours). I held a summer internship with the US fish and wildlife services as well. I aspire to be the Secretary of the Interior, and I think I could accomplish this at Cal!!!</p>
<p>Mehhh, you are a perfect example of holistic admissions -- not just stats, but the whole context that makes someone a great addition to the class of '12. See you at Cal.</p>

Yes, I may not have taken every AP class offered at my school, or joined every club in the world, but I do have a very distinct list of extracurricular activities. I encourage all high school juniors to explore their passion, and believe me, colleges will appreciate it.</p>
