Post Here if you got in RD..

some should be getting their letters soon.. anyone get in yet (RD)?

My son received an acceptance letter (RD) Feb. 5th.

What state are you from? Is your son an athlete?

Biomed33, We live in Ohio. No, he is not an athlete. I found out today that someone else got a decision letter from his high school the same day he got one. You can see his stats on the Case Merit Scholarships post. He said that person probably wants to go into pre-med.

Biomed33, I just read my post and I think I should clarify. My son's stats are on the merit scholarship postings (not the other person who got in the same day as my son).

Why are you guys getting RD notification so early? I thought those letters went out on March 1?

My son got his RD decision already, but I think he applied in December well before the RD deadline (possibly by the ED deadline)...maybe that's why?

I got my RD decision today, and was offered the President's Scholarship ($19,400!).

cavalier.. b4 you got your decision in the mail, was it available through the case western status check feature on the website?

I never got the Case online status thing since I applied with the common app. Also, there was no email notification. I was actually pretty surprised to get it so soon.

Just went on "check status on line" today: admitted. Applied RD around 12/1, common app. The automatic email response did not work via common app; I called them after about a month and they fixed it. So now it's wait for the letter I guess.

No mail service today, either!

I got a 1380 on my sats (in november 2004)

and I took SATS on Jan 22. 2005 and got a 1450

no composites, just higher and higher every time.

top 10 percent, lots of e.c.s, 3.71/4.0 gpa, all honors, 7 total APS taken.

*** GIVES??!?!?!?!

NOT EVEN THAT THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO SPELL MY NAME WRONG ON ALL OF IT GOD.

My son (EA) did not get a scholarship either although he qualified. I called there. Come to find out, they had never received his test score (the high one of course!) even though the testing center shows they sent it to Case.

The lady was very nice, told my son to email in an appeal to Case to please look at his case again. She also had my son's high school send in a copy of that missing high score. We find out in April if they will give him one or not. It's like a second chance thing and certainly worth a phone call. Could have been a simple error and if they spelled your name wrong, perhaps they didn't pick up those great scores!

got in with 14000 a year to boot

Received an email today about confirming my place in the Class of 2009. I haven't received anything in the mail, so I checked my application status online. I applied common app and I AM IN!!!

How long will it take for the mail to get here now?

Received my official letter in the mail today with Provost's Special 17,400/year!!

Congratulations Biomed33. Thats fantastic.

Biomed33 - Congratulations! It is funny that you got the same scholarship as my son. Do you know they only give out about sixteen?

mominsearch...wow, it it true that they only give out 16? I wondered, because both my son and another student at his high school both got a presidential scholarship, and what are the chances of 2 from the same high school? I thought they must give out quite a few scholarships?
