<p>now I'm not trying to sound cocky here, just optimistic, but I go to a private hs and when I got admitted, I didn't hear until after everyone else because I was being offered a scholarship.</p>
<p>It looks like we all have fairly decent stats and maybe we're being offered scholarships.</p>
<p>One of my friends with a slightly higher GPA and SAT score than me already got in and invited to the Honors program, so I doubt he wouldn't have been one of the people getting offered a scholarship. I have no idea what's going on.</p>
<p>Yeah, but I also think American is small enough that theyre going to be more likely to give money to students that they actually think will go there. Like I've expressed a lot of interest, talked to my regional rep a few times, done an over night, etc etc.</p>

<p>i totally think it's a technical thing. other schools i've been watching on CC didn't send everyone an acceptance e-mail... some students didn't find out they got in until the package came in the mail. you have to keep in mind, they never promised an e-mail and apparently they told some people they only notify by snail mail- maybe this is why. i got one, and my stats were similar if not less impressive than all of yours. it's definitely not something to worry about. you all surpass AU's average stats, they'll give you some $$. </p>

<p>My friend got in the honors program. I dont think I will get in honors but i will be surprised if i get rejected.</p>
<p>For those of us who haven't heard yet, look on the finanical awards package link for your portal and see if you have an AU ID. I do, but I haven't heard anything yet.</p>
<p>I have one too, but what does that mean. Doesn't everyone apply for aid?</p>

<p>It sounds like a lot of the kids getting emails yesterday were accepted to honors program. And remember, they have to send a lot of emails. That takes time. So hang in there. Don't despair, everything happens for a reason.</p>
<p>I applied with the AU app and haven't received an email/snail mail letter yet. I also have an AU ID (from F. Aid. section) and was able to log into the Admitted Student Portal (not the Prospective Student Portal), that has all the information about enrolling, etc... so, does this mean I am accepted? any info would help! (also, I am on the west coast, I don't know if this has any relevance to the emails being sent out, etc...)
