ryan, you mean you found out you were admitted via Americans portal on the web or you just can access it when they make that decision?

Kellycon...UW-Madison is a very good school. Lots of kids from my school go there and really like it!

yes it is but not for me, indiana is a possibility especially since i was offered a partial faculty scholarship and contingent upon my grades when i graudate POSSIBLE acceptance to kelly school of business which is one of the top 10 business schools in the country! american, usc and gw are my top choices. I also applied to Bc and Villanova, but doubt i will get in...............its crunch time, everyone and I wish you all the best of luck.

I could set up my username and email address and it says on some of the pages "congratulations on your acceptance". I guess that means I am in, but I have no idea why I didnt recieve an email.

oddly enough I think that they do everything in waves, alot of my other school sent out acceptances in waves. Like I didn't recieve my acceptance to OSU's poly sci program until after one group of friends. On the other hand, there were kids who found out when I did. Based on the day your app was completed, might be the order they tell you. My app wasn't completed until the beginning of January, even though my part was done in mid- November, my recommendation from my teacher took a little longer to get there because they sent it in!! I wanted them to be honest!! Is there anyone without an ID number???

BTW ive been accepted to UW madison, Georgia Tech, and UGA. Im waiting on Umich and NYU.

shiba- i'm from socal too and i totally understand. people think its so crazy leaving and going back east...but i just want something, different.

Ryan-- Congratulations on your acceptances! I got into UGA and Tech, too. Are you considering either one of them?

if i get into honors at UGA than I will consider it, and ive had the chance to visit tech multiple times. Both schools are OK, but they are not that strong in my major(IR and Political Science). The reason im looking at them is mainly because they are relatively inexpensive.

I'm going for those majors, too! My sister does INTA at Tech and says its a good program, but I'm worried about majoring in something not science- or math-related at Tech no matter what she tells me. I'm really holding out for W&M. Good luck with UGA Honors and other schools!

cantstp0wontstp: You took the words right out of my mouth! Hardly any of my friends are applying anywhere out of state. BTW, which schools did u apply to?

shiba: i think we applied to alot of the same, as i have seen you on other boards. i applied to american, GWU, BU, fordham, temple and asu

I haven't heard yet either, although I was able to create a student portal/e-mail address using my ID #. I've been accepted to Duquesne University and John Carroll University with decent scholarship packages. I'm still waiting to hear from Georgetown, GWU, American and University of Maryland.

So, I'll just keep my fingers crossed for myself and all of you.

cantstp0wontstp: Let me know what happens with those schools! The waiting is such a pain. I got an email from Fordham yesterday saying that they have had a 20% increase in applications this year and that they are planning on releasing decisions around April 1. Hopefully we'll hear from others sooner. Who knows, we may end up at the same place!

shiba, i'm pretty much in the same boat but pointing in the opposite direction. i'm in florida, and my top choice is university of washington in seattle! i also applied to BU and NYU, not really expecting an acceptance from either, but we'll see. i'll probably end up staying in florida.

shockingly got into michigan, but was never that interested it was however one of my reach schools, now i am waiting for american,bu,northeastern,bc and gw. This is SOOO neverwracking! I called the admissions and they said some randomly heard via email and others did not, it has nothing to do if you are in or not, hold your breath and cross your fingers!

Kelly, Michigan is a GREAT school! Congrats.

Anyone else still waiting to hear? :(

I still haven't heard...

ok not to sound like a snob but i did not apply for financial aid, does this increase my chances with a school like Amercian? If I don't go west coast, its between GW, American or the partial scholarship i have been offered at Indiana U. Its frustrating to know some have gotten emails and others haven't, does the whole request for f.aid have bearing whatsoever in your opinion?
