Anyone know what will be the outcome for this year? Are we ranked on the waitlist, etc.?

Apparently, this year people with the best stats get in first.

Your academic stats and your major/college (example: Psychology major in CHASS is more impacted than Geology in CNAS) depend on whether or not you will get in. Definitely commit to another university because you want a backup plan.

Here are some stats on the waitlist
2011:
I can’t find the exact numbers but I think less than 50% of students were accepted.
2012:
Offered place on wait list: 3,694
Number accepting place: 1,912
Accepted from list: 0

Exactly. Last year’s waitlist is what worries me for this year’s waitlist. Do you know if 2011’s waitlist was a little less than 50% or a lot less than 50%

I was from the 2011 waitlist and I asked my orientation leader and she said that it was around 35-45%. I’m not too sure how accurate her numbers were though.

What was your major? Do you know if they accepted anyone in the College of Engineering?

After doing some research I found 2011’s waitlist statistics. Around 64% got in from the students who accepted their place on the waitlist.

Offered place on wait list 2,538
Number accepting place 1,580
Accepted from list 1,014

I am a Political Science major. There were people accepted from each college. I think the most came from CHASS and the least came from CNAS and BCOE.

Holy…
I wish I was on the 2011 waitlist…
Those are some good results. Wonder what happened in 2012.
