POST HERE New PSAT Resources

Since the class of 2017 has a new PSAT coming up that they’ll have to take, I was thinking that this can be the read for any practice/resources/tips anyone has about the new 2015 PSAT. I’ll just say that I know a sample PSAT as well as some info about the new one is shown for free on Kaplan as long as you sign up for a free account

I think the only free PSAT for this fall is the one on Khan academy (from the College Board). Is the Kaplan one the same? It must be - this is the first time this test will be administered. Have you gotten the free Kaplan account? If so, is it the same as the free Khan practice test?

I think they’re different. And yes I made an account with them for free

My D in 10th grade is going to take the PSAT for practice. We could not get on hold of any preparation material yet although I found a couple books in our public library catalog. I’ll leave them for the junior students and let my D tried it just for the test center experience as it does not really count for anything. For those who are interested, I have seen Princeton Review and Kaplan both have practice books for the new PSAT.

At my school they give you an information packet from college board with a practice test in it. You should get one when you sign up.

Thanks Mitrak, I did get one. I was just wondering if there were any additional things out there, I really need a scholarship

PR will send you their version for free if you call them.

The PR and Kaplan tests are not made by the College Board. Since the CB doesn’t really know what it’s doing yet, its unlikely any 3rd party tests will prove to be worthwhile. Skip those prep materials.

@Rusty5 - do you work for Kaplan?
