I don't know how everyone else besides does well but I always fail. I study extremely hard for this test, i even skip meals just so i could study can i still did not get as nearly a good score on this board."

Ditto. This test has given me soo much stress over the past few months

ok im so confused. im logging on and clicking 'view my scores' but its just showing me the dates for each test for which i can see...what am i doing wrong!/

ok i'm about to jump out my window now.....why am I so dumb. like seriously, I do so well in school, and SO BADDDD on standarized tests.....i'm hopeless.

It's okay.. me too. seriously. my standardized testing is just horrendous and I don't even know what. I hate taking them and thinking I did well.. then finding out I did horrible. Boo.

The only people who respond are in the 30's for the most part and that is so depressing. Well I got
27 across the board, all subjects...wishing for a 28 just missed by two questions ugh....got 27 last time...this test was much harder than April's. Still...overall 90 percentile in the nation. Not everyone can get in the 30s and reading the replies for all those who did ....great for you. But reading the posts I feel substandard. You never know from test to test. They say October is usually the easiest...at least for the past three years....considering taking yet again...I only wanted a 28 or 29 for the schools I am interested in...think it is worth the aggregation???I am a senior and wondering if it is worth the trouble and time at this point. Appreciate your support and comments.

Yeah I would definitely retake it if I were you. I took the ACT for my first try in June and got a 28. I didn't really practice in the summer, but I used the Princeton Review book and used their strategies 1-2 weeks before the test and got my score up to a 30.

clgbnd you are NOT alone. take heart and remember that most people who are willing to post their scores are the ones who are proud of them. Unfortunately, that doesn't leave the rest of us feeling all that great. I have found that it's kind of the norm here on CC. I second kutibah in suggesting you take it again and use a prep book to get even more familiar with the test itself. (I suggest the 3 real ACT book)

Although i felt really bad about the test this time too though. I actually almost considered cancelling my scores, but then i realized i wasnt even sending them anyway so it didnt matter

Original Scores -

Composite - 30

Sept. Scores -
English - 30
Math - 36
Reading - 27
Science -34

Composite - 32

So, is the clear consensus that the September Test was significantly harder? Would it be worth it for me to retake it in order to get 34+, or do I already pass the basic litmus test of scores that most colleges use?
