Our son has learning delays, but is catching up. However, he also has social delays as well…he tends to avoid interaction with his peers, has very few friends, and is dependent upon us for a lot of his social life. Though he will graduate high school on time, we don’t think he would be ready to leave home for college. Are there “transition programs” which could give him 1) academic honing so college will be a smoother transition academically 2) some counseling on peer relationships 3) and opportunity to live away from home. Thanks!
Perhaps Landmark College. Either their Transition to College program or as a full-time college student.
