Post-interview question?

So here's what my interviewer sent me regarding an interview thank you letter:

"It was a total pleasure meeting you and I do have my fingers crossed for you as I too believe that it is great fit. In any case, I do know that YOU will thrive anywhere you go! You are very accomplished!"

Is this a good sign? Or is this more a cliche sign?

No one knows, except the interviewer, but I’d speculate it’s more graciousness than substance.

We talked for almost two hours, does this count for anything?

You’re straw grasping – that’s normal. It seems you clicked – that’s good. But in reality, the fact is the interviewer has no clue what your eventual outcome will be. His/her job is to keep you tied into the college, and if chosen, that you’d choose that college.

Thanks for the input. I just want to know if this response is any indication of how he/she will recommend me towards the college. Anyone else?

Given you chatted for 2 hrs, I think it’s safe to assume he recommended you. Notwithstanding, how much does that help? Very little in the majority of cases.
