Post SAT II scores that YOU'VE taken so far!!!

Physics (Soph) : 740
Math II (Junior): 720

Lit: 790
US History: 800
Math II: 710 (first time), 780 (second time)

collegebond78 - I thought the us history wasn't bad at all, but then, I had a wonderful AP US history teacher and I love the subject.

Bio: 780
Chem: 800
Planning on taking three more this year

French w/ Listening --> 760

Kind of dissappointed (please don't hate me :P) because I'm a near native speaker, and I had hoped I would get higher.

Bio-M: 680 (Freshman)
Math L2: 790 (Junior)

Math L2: 800
Chem: 770
US History: 730

Math IC: 680 ( I messed up SOH CAH TOA) :(
Taking Math IIC and Chemistry in June. Aiming for 790-800 in IIC and 750+ in Chemistry

How did you study for your bio and lit SAT IIS?

Would 6 weeks be enough

I didn't study for the lit SAT II. Really, it's not something you can prep a whole lot for. Taking practice tests and buying a practice book would help get you acclimated to the test, though.

I didn't take the bio test, sorry.

Though with a name like bookaddict, that wouldn't be a problem now, would it? :)

I did about the same for Lit. (Though I think I've already posted what I did on this thread)

Bio: 2 books, mostly just the practice tests (Princeton and Barrons) Also the CB tests. That was enough for 800. :D

Math L2: 800
Math L1: 800
Physics: 750

Shrivats: Haha, that is true. Avid readers tend to do much better on the tests such as the verbal section on the SAT the SAT II lit exam. But while reading a lot does prep you for those tests, its not really something that'll help if you only start doing it months in advance, which is why I didn't include it in my recommendations.

Does anyone know how hard the world history SAT would be?

Also, is there a rough correlation between SAT I Verbal scores and SAT II Lit scores? Since the LIT test does look insanely hard, would it be best not to take it if I scored a 750-780 on the SAT I? (assume I'm aiming for 750+ on LIT)

No, a 750-780 looks just about right for a 750+ score on Lit. (Not as right as an 800 of course, :p but still very good.)

There is some sort of a correlation. The test isn't insanely hard at all really, one just has to have a decent amount of interpretive skills that's all. They're not asking you to use any sort of supernatural skills. In fact Lit is probably one of the exams that, if you're good at, you can feel very confident about as there really is nothing more that you can do to prepare for it, besides being well, who you are...

Just work a bit of the more abstruse terms you'll encounter (synecdoche and the like and hope that you'll get passages that you'll relate to)

wow...who are you people lol????

just to represent the average people on here:
Math IC - 720
Bio - 700

i'm aiming for u of v. hahaa its pretty hard. but seriously, is it just collegeconfidential or is this entire generation super test-takers?

It's just college confidential. :)

wendyling - I wouldn't call your scores average. I don't know what the average is, but I'm sure it's a great deal lower than that. It's just that the people here on collegeconfidential tend to be high scoring overachievers. Moreover, those that aren't usually don't post their scores.

Math IIC: 800
Bio M: 760
Taking Chem and Hebrew in June- any suggestions on how to prep?

Math II: 800
Chem: 790

prepping for the chem test -- I actually just went through the entire prep book, took notes on lots of things, did a lot of review problems, and a few practice tests. Although, frankly, I thought that both tests I took were easier than I thought they'd be. (don't know if that is helpful at all..)

Math II: 800

Physics: 800
