<p>Hey i just wanted to make this thread so people could post their credentials to see the range of people accepted to SBU:) mine are as follows
ACCEPTED
GPA: 92 (3.6? idk)
ACT:26
EC's: 2 Varsity teams, 5 clubs, 200+ volunteer hours
did not submit my SAT.
3 rec letters.
Did a unique essay on engineering.
I've made this thread b/c all i saw was smart people on college confidential O_O
i just wanted people to see that although your scores have to be good to be accepted, they don't have to be AMAZING. Thanks everyone! SBU was my #1 choice. im so excited</p>

<p>Applied for Computer Science, got directly into the major. My creds;</p>
<p>GPA: 93.24 unweighted
SAT: Reading 740, others 710 for a total of 2160
SAT II Math: 750 or so
SAT II Physics: 680
SAT II US History: 650
ACT: 30 (without any prep!)
Just finished AP Comparative Government (half-year course). Teacher’s cool, but DAMN the course is tough!
Currently in AP Calculus AB, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Computer Science. Lord, somebody needs to tell my CS teacher that AP questions are not the same as programming.</p>
<p>Not too many EC’s, but I DID demonstrate my legitimate interest in programming, and I’ve ran a video gaming club for a while.</p>
<p>how do you know if you got accepted to that program or not? did you find out by mail? im still waiting for my mail. they said it’ll come within 2 weeks.</p>
<p>Check SOLAR. If new options appear, you’ve been admitted. You’ll be able to pay your deposits, for instance.</p>
