Post your 2007 AP scores here...

I got them in the mail on July 3, odd because I live in Alaska, thought it would take until at least the end of july..

so I'm not a freakin' genius, and I don't get straight A's and my Sat scores are dismal (compared to everyone else's on here), but I thought i did surprisingly well on my APs..

Macroeconomics: 4 (what I expected)
Microeconomics: 5 (I thought I did crappy on the micro. multiple choice, but I guess not!)
English Lang: 4 (not to blame anyone, but I had a terrible lang teacher. He was a complete ass, we didn't learn absolutely anything, and did I mention he was a complete ass? I was shocked, I swore I got at most a 3 because I guessed on at least 1/2 of the multiple choice and didn't skip any.. but my essays were decent/good)
Psychology: 5 (I had a great teacher and I studied the most for this subject)

I got mine by phone today...the results were kind of surprising!

Eng Lit: 5. Not to sound pompous, but this was a given...I would have been really upset if I hadn't gotten a 5.

German: 5. Yay!!! I really hated my German teacher, but she really prepped us hardcore for the test, and she is a native speaker, so even though I'm not a super awesome German student, I was really well prepared. I'm not shocked, because the reading and listening was easy, but I did kind of lay an egg on the speaking portion, so I thought I might have gotten a 4.

Micro & Macro: 4 on both. I'm not getting credit for any of these tests (I already had all the credit Wellesley was going to give me), but I am slightly disappointed. I got a solid A in both classes, but my teacher was lousy and we really didn't prep for the free response enough, especially for Macro. But, I'm not going to pass all the blame...I was so tired by the time these tests came around and I definitely didn't study enough.

Physics C: Mechanics: 2. OUCH! I really thought I was going to get a 3 or 4, but I'm not going to pretend that I really put all the effort into this class. I didn't study enough, and I think I just got unlucky with the free response topics.

Physics C: E & M: 4!!!!!!!! Really, really, really, really shocking. I thought I was going to get a 2 or at best 3 on this test...I really had only the barest understanding of 2 of the 3 free responses, and even the "easy" free response wasn't that easy for me. The only thing that I can say is that we took a practice E & M test as our final the week before the AP test and it was SO hard for me that I got really scared and crammed big time for the AP exam. I bet I was the only person in my class who did better on E & M than on Mechanics....

So, all in all, not that bad. Sure, the 2 was a blow to my ego, and I could have done better on Micro and Macro, but I also definitely could have done worse on German and E & M. Plus, counting my previous 4 AP tests, I would say that six 5's and 3 4's (and one 2) is plenty respectable.

English Lit&Comp.- 5
US History- 5
World History- 5
Psychology- 5

i was so surprised when i got my scores. i thought i did well on US History, and that I'd get a 4 in english and a 3 in world history becasue my last essay was like totally made up. And I thought I failed psychology becasue I basically ignored the essay questions and wrote whatever i felt like and i was guessing like crazy doing the eenie meenie minee mo thing.
i think they mustve either curved a lot or I am really good at guessing.

anyone take spanish language? i managed to get a 3. i guess it was a series of lucky guesses in the MC. how'd everyone else do?

I was TOTALLY surprised to get a 4 on Spanish Language, I hadn't actually taken the class and was self-studying as a white sophomore. Hahah, I was so happy!

Biology...........................................5
Environmental Science.......................5
European History..............................5
Calc AB...........................................5

Got those through mail (I live in California). I can definitely see why people are getting 3s or 4s on AP Enviro. Science since the FRQs were a bit weird. As for the Calc AB Free Response, the questions themselves were definitely solvable if given enough time, but many people (including me) ran out of time.

Good luck to those who are still waiting and have a great summer everyone!

My scores have been good so far...

Last Year

APUSH - 4 Thought I could have done better than that, but oh well...

This Year

AP Chem -5 - Really happy and sort of expecting a 4 or a 5. Glad its a 5 though.

AP Micro - 5 - Thought it was much easier than our practice tests, so I guess I was well prepared.

AP Eng Lang 3
AP Biology 5

Wow. I'm definitely shocked at AP Biology because I SUCK AT BIOLOGY and I did all my studying the day before. The curve must've been REALLY generous because I hosted a talent show and went to an afterparty on the weekend before the AP exams...

And I thought AP Eng Lang was much easier. However, I was feeling horribly sick that day so I guess it wasn't that much of a surprise.

Any regrets?

^^Is that a general question to everyone? I'll answer anyway...

On the one hand, I was fully capable of pulling out 5's in Micro and Macro and I don't think that someone who got a 5 on BC Calc and an A in Multivariable Calc should probably get a 2 on the Mechanics exam...most of my multivariable classmates breezed to 5's or at least 4's. On the other hand, my teachers in these subjects were really not good, and I was SO, SO, SO tired by the time AP tests rolled around. I had finals, I had projects, I had books to read, I had traveled a lot visiting colleges in April, and I don't have great study habits anyway (I know, I need to pull that together for the future). So I really didn't study for those exams at all. I'm certainly not going to cry about a few 4's (and believe me, that E & M score was a really happy surprise), but I'd be lying if I said that the 2 didn't hurt a bit. However, I checked the AP website, and if I understand it correctly, I still qualify for the National AP score (I have 4 other 5's in addition to this year's scores), so that makes me happy. Not that it means anything! But I like awards :)

Oh, and I only get credit for 4 5's, so any 5's this year were just extra. And for placement, which is why I was jazzed about German.

I live in Northern California, and I just received my score in the mail today.

AP Biology - 5

Yes! :)

you got your scores already?!

yay maybe we'll get ours soon in the dc area!

a lot of people i know were so anxious as soon as they took the test, but i really haven't had that hard of a time waiting... but now i am just really anxious.

5 Bio
5 Envio
5 APUSH
5 Calc BC

Still waiting for Chem make up results.

get there ap stat scores yet
im hopin to at least get a 3 since my teacher was a
stupid b**** and finish teaching us the last couple of
chapters until the DAY BEFORE the EXAM!!!!!!!!!!!
man i was sooooo ****ed off.

Got it in the mail no more than an hour ago.

APUSH: 4
I didn't really study for this, so I can't complain about the low score. :/ I thought I did well on the essays too. No regrets though. 4 is still a good score, and I still qualify for the awards.

AP English and Comp: 5
I have a feeling they curved this like crazy. I screwed up on the last essay and still got a 5? Hm... The multiple choice wasn't as hard as I thought it would be either.

AP Psych: 5
No comment. I knew I would get a 5. I didn't really study, but I had a superb teacher. The FRQs were rather easy too, especially the one about schizophrenia.

AP Chinese: 5
I speak Cantonese fluently, so I thought the speech part of the test was a bit difficult. I was afraid my Cantonese accent would seep through. Neither the writing nor the listening part was hard. The reading was okay, especially with the time they give you.

Overall, I'm absolutely jubilant with my scores. As a rising senior, I am already an AP Scholar with Distinction. (Most seniors are still only AP Scholars.)

Alright, even though I haven't gotten my scores yet here in Dallas, my friend said he would pay to let me call for mine so we could compare and of course I didn't decline so:

APUSH: 5
Calculus AB: 5
Physics IB: 4
English: 4
Computer Science: 4

Statistics: 3. I self-studied this one less than a week before the test and I let my procrastination get in the way of THAT too...so I had 3 chapters to read the morning of the test and I was dead tired. I thought I'd gotten a 4 for sure though. Oh well. I'll just take it again because I do want credit for it.

Calculus AB: 5 Whoa I had NO IDEA what score I would get on this one. It was so hard, but then everyone thought so too. I left at least 40% of the FR blank though and I'm sure much of the rest of my FR was wrong.

APUSH: 4 The MC screwed me up, definitely. I knew I missed a lot of the MC after coming home and trying to figure out how many I definitely missed/got right. But oh well.

Biology: 5 I didn't do anything in the class, slept through it, and just crammed at the end. I guess this test having such a nice curve helped.

Macroeconomics: 5 I took the online class a year ago so I just crammed the night before the exam. No other studying within that one year's difference except cramming for an FBLA Econ comp. So I guess I retained the material pretty well.

Very awkward situation I'm in.

ALL SELF-STUDIES.

There is a gap of 2006. Anyhow I entered college early and didn't care about APs the following year. Then I figured that I wanted to satisfy some college requirements so I took AP exams. However, my college is fine with 4's, so I didn't have motivation to go beyond a 4. The funny thing is that I barely spent effort on any of them (I spent 1-night inefficient cram sessions for Bio, Micro/Macro, and Chem - the others I took on background knowledge just to see how well I'd do).

2007:
Micro: 4
Macro: 3 (this was pathetic, since I could have easily gotten a 4 if I didn't screw my first FRQ up - at the time I arrived at the testing center I was reading Barron's on international trade)
Bio: 5 (hahaha - I never took a single biology class since 7th grade)
Psych: 4
Chem: 4 (AGAIN - oh well - at least this proves that I don't forget things I learn from 2 years ago :p)
English Language: 4

...I also got a 1 on an exam I shall not mention - I didn't pace myself and worst of all - I circle on the answer sheet INSTEAD of bubbling in when I mark answers - so I had no bubbles filled in when time was called on that exam =/. I begged for more time - and kept on begging while I quickly filled in the rest of the bubbles after time was called. But I was so stressed that I think I mis-filled the bubbles in. =/

10th grade: (2005)
World: 5
Euro: 5
BC Calc: 5
Chem: 4

Anyhow I won AP National Scholar so it's not as if I lost anything. Average AP score is exactly a 4 (including that 1) so I barely made it.

anyone from NY get it?

I'm ashamed of my results. Oh well - they're really hilarious - given how much I underperformed relative to my 10th grade performance (and given my erratic study habits). :p If someone else had the same results + trend as I did - I'd be laughing at that trend.

ap-self-studying (and cramming the night before) + the uncertainties involved is so fun. it would be so much more fun if retakes every several months were allowed - pity this isn't the case
