rpgaction: I'm glad you finally understand me!!! Haha, yeah, Bob was hillarious in the Aristocrats, probably did the Aristocrats joke better than half the other comedians.

Did anyone in maryland get their scores today?

The Bio curve was AMAZING. If I can get a 5 (I don't know how the heck I managed to pull that off), anybody can.

I thought the Eng Lang curve was pretty harsh because I thought I didn't do too badly. But I was feeling sick and couldn't focus during the test, so I guess that was it.

don't be a jerk. I got a 2 on biology. I'm somebody, trust me.

dsilva- yes! I love your comment :)

Oh and to anisha08- I got a 5 on English Lang, the ONE AND ONLY 5 on an AP test (out of 7 I've taken). And I'm a math person, so if I can get a 5 (on an ENGLISH exam of all things), anybody can. So I guess you're a nobody.
--me being as arrogant as anisha08

Gosh people, can you not be so stuck up over your scores for two minutes? Sure, post them, but don't make other people feel bad about their scores. A lot of people (including me) struggle with standardized tests.

I don't see why people feel the need to label themselves as a "math person" or an "English person." It's not like you have to be one or the other, or that there is really anything inhibiting you from doing both equally well other than the illogical psychological expectation that things have to fall into categories and certain people will be good at one thing and not at others (which is all too common and all too hurtful to society).

rpgaction -- I label myself as an English person, not because I am unable to do math well, but because I PREFER English. I prefer writing an essay over doing a bunch of math problems, so yeah, I think it's perfectly fine to "label" one's self. Also, it's very possible one IS better at either math or English because they focus on one more than the other...it's not that I can't do one or the other better, it's that I prefer it.

does anyone know when east coast (massachusetts) will receive scores?

When the great collegeboard ordains that it be so :)

I'm definitely an English person--no ifs, ands, or buts. And my siblings are math people. Oh, the irony!

rpgaction, I agree with the others, I'd call myself a math person just because I like it better.

And anisha08, something tells me you studied your ass off for Bio and knew most of those questions, probably all but one. People who don't study and pay attention (because AP Bio is the notorious easy AP class in our school, kids take it for their report card grades and don't care about the AP) and 2 is a very common score, for people trying their best. So show your excitement in a way that's not going to make others feel stupid. Getting 5 and expecting a 4 is one thing. Nobody gets a 5 sincerely thinking they deserve a 3 or less.

Look how poor anisha is being crucified for boosting her own ego. Sighs... sometimes some things are better left unsaid, or in this case unwritten.

Has anyone in New York gotten scores by mail yet?

I doubt it. I don't think anyone on the East Coast has.

so i called and got my scores!

calc bc- 4/4 (i am SHOCKED because everyone at my school who took it basically felt like crying after taking it)

english lang/comp - 4

US gov - 4 (a little surprised, i so thought i was going to get a 3, considering i wasn't too confident on the MC and on the FR about the war powers)

psych - 4 (incredibly disappointed, i should have gotten a 5, considering my teacher was amazing and actually wrote the textbook we used, but whatever, i still get credit)

so this means i'm out of 5 gen ed college courses and 1 elective!!!! :)

Bio - 5
Calc AB - 5

Not gonna lie. There was a shriek and a jump involved with the opening of the envelope. Ask my mother. =]

ughhh....

3 on Eng Lang. (retake) - needed a 4 for credit
4 on Eng Lit - needed a 5 for credit
5 on Calc AB - needed a 3 for credit

could have been worse though

All 3's!!!!!

I thought i was gonna get a 4 on biology and english and maybe a 2 on psychology since i messed up bad calculus was the least surprising cause i was really unsure the lowest i thought i would get for that was maybe a 2 and the highest a 3.

bio 5
comp sci a 5
us hist 5
govt 5
eng lang 5

Chris07 - I have to somewhat disagree with you on that previous statement you made saying that no one sincerely expecting lower than a 3 can pull off a 5. For me, I expected a 1, maybe a 2 on AP Biology, if I was lucky, but I managed to get a 4. I don't know how I did it, but the only test that could go against your statement is the AP Biology, since the test leaves you feeling horrible at the way you did, but the curve makes up for this. If people are dissappointed about their score, maybe they should have studied more, so don't complain about your score if you know you didn't deserve it. For AP Bio, yes, I barely studied, but that's an extreme case. If you want to do well on a test, then you better work your ass off, and that's it.
