<p>@columbia, tbh I didn’t study at all except for maybe 1 practice test the night before the actual PSAT. I was quite amazed by my considerable improvement as well and my biology teacher said that one academic year can make a huge difference even without any studying. Hopefully the same will hold true for you as well, although I would still reccomend studying if you want to see substantial gains. Don’t worry about it because your scores don’t count for anything until junior year. Good luck.</p>
<p>Btw, 194 is still extremely impressive especially as a freshman. Last year, with my 194, I had the third highest score out of my ENTIRE school (freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors). I’m not sure if that was because my school sucks or because 194 is really good, though.</p>

<p>^^lol, I was leaning towards that possibility. I have the highest score in my school (224) this year by a pretty wide margin, too. Well, I guess I can’t expect much, as my school scores BELOW the national SAT average.</p>
