Congrats to those accepted....and hey! I want to see some Carolina Blue in those html stats.

To those waitlisted....take a spot!! As janie says...no downside.

To those declined....if you truly love Carolina, please consider it IS easier to transfer. Take some time and then consider a good coursework strategy for transfer admissions. Don't give up!

I was waitlisted. I have to deposit $600 for dorms at gt and another $250 for admission and there are other fees. Basically I would lose about $1000 if I decided to go to unc

janieblue...there is not much downside..i don't have pay dorm fees or anything,...just the deposit to unc charlotte...probably transferable to UNC..
but its just psychologically not worth it (I think)...im not one of the most patient guyz....(you would've noticed that by looking at the thread crested by me yesterday...which bypasses unc homepage..)

I see. Well, I guess it depends on when they start taking people off the waitlist, and if one gets off the waitlist, it's in time to possibly get a refund, partial or full, from the school where you had to send in a housing deposit. (?)

vickpick: Sorry, I wrote the above before I saw your post. In your situation, I'd stay on the waitlist, prepare yourself to go to UNC-Charlotte, and then proceed to put the waitlist out of your head. (Easier said than done, I know.) Even if you end up going to UNC-Charlotte, and decide you want to transfer to UNC-CH later, it will be easier for you to get in as a transfer. Or-- you know-- you might get off the waitlist. :) Again, in your situation, I'd keep my name on it if I were you.

Deferred EA now Waitlisted....god just decide already.

I received a LL from UVA, but was waitlisted as well at UNC. Stats are on the first page of this thread in case you're interested. I'd say you're in at UVA though, if I got a LL OOS at Virginia, you definitely can get in lol.
